Job Goal: The Principal will provide leadership and administration which will motivate instructional and support personnel to strive for superior performance so as to provide the best possible opportunities for student growth and development, both educationally and personally.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
- Bachelor's Degree (required)
- Master's Degree in an Education related field (required)
- Administrative Certification (required) Experience:
- A minimum of 3-5 years experience in a low income school with demonstrated exemplary student results.

- Inspire and enhance a positive work and student learning environment
- Recognize and hire teachers who are highly motivated build positive relationships with students
- Effectively communicate with staff, students, parents and other EPA stakeholders
- Effectively build community outreach and relationships
- Maintain effective written communication skills
- Has a clear understanding of state budgeting issues and monitors site budget regularly
- Understand state standards and is able to assist teachers in applying to daily teaching objectives
- Understand site and state testing process and is able to lead staff in analyzing results
- Effectively manage facilities, technology and human resources needs for the site, working with district personnel in an effective manner
- Effectively evaluate staff performance and supervises improvement plans for individuals as needed
- Creatively lead staff in problem solving and promotes participatory management
- Proven ability to successfully lead students and staff
- Strong entrepreneurial spirit to retain and recruit students
- Ability to implement grants and meet all grant requirements to include financial and reporting
- Articulate, professional demeanor with strong self-confidence and initiative
- Demonstrated success developing school programs and school culture
- Maintain confidentiality
- Perform other duties assigned by supervisor
- Develop professional skills appropriate to job assignment through attendance and participation at local, regional, state, and national conferences, attendance and participation in workshops, reading, and professional materials
- Demonstrate behavior that is professional, ethical, and responsible
- Articulate the district's mission and goals to the community and solicit its support in realizing the school's mission

The office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., however, the Principal from time to time may work an extended schedule, including weekends and evenings according to demands of the role and tasks.
